Modularization and Implementation: Tiny Cells Building Big Blocks

In order to follow our design guidelines and meet the requirements of as many applications as possible, our solutions must reach a high grade of modularity and reusability of both, software and hardware. The following list shows the two cornerstones our solutions rely on.

  1. ESISA Embedded Bus Standard   A conservatively disigned bus standard tailored to the requirements of embedded applications that allows a high grade of modularization and reusability of stackable modules in a compact 4 x 4'' form factor.
  2. µPMOS Embedded Real-time OS   An ultra compact RTOS, object oriented at the very system level, that resides and can directly be executed in ROM. It includes:
    • Firmware Development Environment (FDE)   An object oriented software development environment of the RTOS, including the definition of µREXX, an easy to learn object oriented programming language.

    • ObjectWorkplace Application Environment (AE)   An object oriented runtime environment of the RTOS that offers FDE integration and standardized user interfaces to ease software development and system use.

Logically, great parts of our solutions are implemented in software. Physically, it is the ESISA module you see where the complete set of software resides in ROM. Note, that there are no licencing and royalty issues involved: There is just the solution in its entity! A prime economic advantage coming free.
