ESISA Smart I/O modules exploit all features of the ESISA bus and enrich a stack with complex I/O functions while taking the burden of sophisticated I/O off the stack master SBC. Since they encapsulate complete I/O subsystems, they can also provide transparent bridging to any kind of I/O application including high-performance bus systems like PCI or PCIe.

All ESISA Smart I/O modules come with a complete set of systems software preloaded including the µPMOS x86 RTOS with embedded Firmware Development and Application Runtime Environments.
