Our ESISA bus based embedded
soltions are in operational readiness and directly programmable immediately after
power-up. Usage is simple: Take a platform SBC, stack appropriate I/O modules on top of
it and power-up the stack. Additional functions are introduced by new stack
members i.e., module stacks can grow as required. ESISA stacks are built of the
following components.
- ESISA Platform SBCs
Platform SBCs lay the functional foundation of an ESISA stack. They implement
the ESISA bus, offer basic I/O functions, computing power and the system
ROM containing the operating system with all its basic drivers and applications etc.
Additionally, the SBC module is the
ESISA Stack Master, the only module that drives the bus.

- Smart I/O Modules
These are ESISA Stack Slave modules that
encapsulate complex I/O functions ususally controlled by a dedicated on-board processor. They
are indirectly driven by the Stack Master and can operate
as stand-alone solutions.

- Standard I/O and Supply
Modules These are ESISA Stack Slave modules
whose I/O functions are directly driven by the Stack Master; and
passive that is, I/O neutral modules providing the stack with
functions like power supply or I/O adapters.

ESISA Platform SBCs and Smart I/O Modules are true embedded solutions including
a complete set of software - RTOS, firmware development and
runtime environments - at no additional costs or with any royalty issues involved. Refer to the
Embedded Software Components
page to see what is in the ROM.
