The System RAM Carrier Module is an ESISA system module with 4 SODIMM sockets 2 Mbyte SODIMMs can be plugged into. This allows for easy system memory extension by up to 8 Mbytes.

Any SRAM/ F-RAM SODIMM combination is possible. Each installed SODIMM is mapped to system memory banks 4, 5 (socket 0), 6, 7 (socket 1), 8, 9 (socket 2) and 10, 11 (socket 3). No setup is required and no virtual slot needs to be reserved for the module on the ESISA bus. The stack master SBC auto-senses installed memory modules on the carrier and the module responds to system memory access cycles, only. The module can be installed anywhere in the ESISA stack.
