Our ESISA modules are our upcoming high-level embedded solutions based on our
System-on-Module Devices
and the ESISA embedded bus standard.
Advanced network, RAID and multiprocessing functions are encapsulated in ESISA
modules used to build smart, high reliable module stacks. This preview
page offers a first overview of the forthcoming series of ESISA modules currently
in design:
ESISA Host Module
ESISA stack host module with one SESCSOM-486, one Ethernet NIC, USB 1.1 up and downlink ports,
serial, parallel, keyboard and mouse interfaces and an optional SMI722 2D/3D graphics
controller.
ESISA RAID Module
Bus master ESISA module with one SESCSOM-486 and up to 16 GB solid state mass storage
depending on RAID level (RAID-0, RAID-1, RAID-10, RAID-0+1 or RAID-5 redundancy available).
ESISA Network Module
Bus master ESISA module with one SESCSOM-486 device, four independent Ethernet NICs
and two ISDN S0 interfaces (4 B- and 2 D-channels).
ESISA Multiprocessor Module
Bus master ESISA module with four SESCSOM-486 devices acting as one virtual computing
device. The SESCSOM-486 devices are tied together with PLX 6466 PCI-PCI bridges.
By default, all modules are 16-bit devices conforming to the ISA compatibility
portion of the ESISA standard. However, they can simply be upgraded to 32-bit by
adding an extension device later on (required PGA socket already present on each board).
